Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform this new, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is the setup is serious. That says something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
