Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently in the works. That will round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the detail that requires honesty. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It should inform your assessment.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, they top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
